New Dementia Friendly Recreational Opportunities
In 2024 the City of Calgary piloted FORE! the Love of Golf, a dementia-friendly introductory golf program for people with dementia. The pilot was a huge success and very well-received by participants and their family and caregivers.
In 2025 the City is expanding this program, and is now also offering a new dementia-friendly physical wellness program at the Killarney Aquatic & Recreation Centre.
